Easy Currencies

The first bit of functionality that Easy Currencies has to offer is to display exchange/currency rates information on your desktop. It uses this information for the second bit of functionality it has to offer. So if you’re planning a trip to Europe, you can use the application to check out Euro currency rates and see how many Euros you can purchase with the dollars you have in your pocket.

Easy Currencies is available for Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. To get the application up and running on your Windows-powered machine, you will have to download an archive, extract and run the executable inside, then follow the simple instructions a setup wizard presents to you. You will see that completing the installation process will not take long and will not be a difficult matter.

Easy Currencies presents two windows on your desktop: Currency Rates and Currency Calculator. To bring the Currency Rates window back after you close it, just click the Easy Currencies icon in the system tray. To bring back the Currency Calculator window, click the calculator icon from the bottom right hand side on the Currency Rates window – or right click the Easy Currencies system tray icon and select Currency Calculator.

The Currency Rates window presents currency info in currency pairs: EUR/USD, USD/CAD, Gold/USD, and so on. By clicking on the Configure button from the lower right hand side, you can set up new currency pairs and choose which pairs will be displayed in the Currency Rates window.
At the top of Currency Calculator window there’s a dropdown menu that allows you to choose one of the many currencies the application supports. Underneath there’s a list that presents different currencies. In between there’s an amount box. So if you want to see how many Euros you can purchase with your $150, select USD from the currency dropdown menu, enter 150 in the amount box, then check the Euro section below.

Easy Currencies is free to use for a trial period of 14 days. Once this trial period is over you will have to get a license to keep using the application.

As it supports numerous currencies and precious metals, Easy Currencies is a very handy tool for anyone who wants to monitor currency rates and have access to an efficient currency calculator.
